Get that nancy meyers aesthetic at your home

Nancy Meyers kitchen with industrial feeling.

Your home should be a personal representation of you and your lifestyle.  Home should be a feeling that shouts from the rooftops: “this is our story, this is our lifestyle” rather than reading like a full spread from a Pottery Barn catalog.  The Nancy Meyers aesthetic has dominated the world of interiors with gusto mostly because, like the films themselves, it brings an element of comfort and belonging.

Hebe Hatton, Head of Interiors at Home and Gardens, notes that “the Nancy Meyers effect is all about softness, warm colors, subtle patterns, and rooms that make you just want to curl up with a book and indulge in the coziness of it all.”  The ultimate essence of a comfort film translated into an interior style for all to enjoy.

The Nancy Meyer style effect brings a sense of charm while breathing a wholesome lifestyle into the home it represents.  Pulling from favorite movies such as Father of the Bride, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, and Something’s Gotta Give, the home’s represented in these films are layered with love and intent.

Imagine pulling up a barstool in your kitchen to enjoy a bowl of cereal at 10:00 pm while surrounded by timeless furnishings, mementos such as framed recipes from times’ past, kid artwork, and layered textures.  Sounds like a giant hug at the end of the day, right?!

In an effort where old meets new and updated meets vintage, this aesthetic merges dueling styles to achieve cosy perfection.  Captivating textures and layers that elevate each room and feel intentional and curated.  This lived-in look feels effortless and comfortable just like the movies they are drawn from.

Check out some of these designs I currently created for a few lucky clients of mine, inspired by the Nancy Meyer style:

Warm and inviting.  Clean but never sterile.  The perfect balance between updated, comfortable, and elegant.  These designs are for two lucky clients that just moved into their respective dream homes in St. Louis and they are currently pulling from these designs to complete their space.  Our process delivers designs with links directly to you to fulfill your dream home.  The Nancy Meyers aesthetic is timeless so it’s safe to say it’s here to stay!

Until Next Time - XO,

Meg
